She's been acting strangely and it takes Isaac a few days or a week of watching her that he finally decides to figure out what is going on. Audrey has her moods from time to time, but she seems stressed in a way he hasn't seen in the past. Dr. Crane's work is going well and on schedule as usual. Of course, the recent pop of a member of the Osborn family has had him distracted yet again and Isaac thought at first this was the reason for her change in mood, but he soon realizes it's something completely different.

He doesn't have to seek her out and corner her and he's grateful because if Audrey doesn't want to talk about something then she isn't going to talk about it. He can coax some things out of her at times, but it's not something he can always count on. He wasn't expecting for her to come to him and declare that she was pregnant.

It takes Isaac more than a few moments to comprehend what she's just told him and she's looking at him waiting for a response. She doesn't know who the father is. It could be Crane or himself. He thinks about being a father and considering their current situation, it honestly freaks him the hell out. But then he thinks of Crane discovering he's a father or even that his best student is carrying a child and that freaks him out even more.

He tells her that she needs to end the pregnancy and she refuses. She's scared of what the doctor would say or do to her if he were to ever find out. The baby is possibly his and Isaac knows as well as Audrey does that the idea of missing out on an heir would infuriate him. He agrees that it's best they keep quiet for now and that Dr. Crane does not need to find out. He's not totally sure how to keep it from him once enough time goes by, but it's something he'll have to figure out and worry about later. Isaac's main concern now is telling Audrey that they'll figure everything out and she will be safe. He means to keep his promise, but just hopes he doesn't have to break it as the days go by.
